Review

Rating: 7

I would probably give this book a 7.5 rating. I enjoyed the premise of this book, as it really felt like what I think the Titan series is about, exploring new planets. The Idea of going to an ocean based planet was an interesting choice. The first half of the book I really enjoyed, the pace was good, and I liked how the mystery of the planet unfolded. The second half I did not like as much, as I found it got bogged down a bit in techno babble and a bit abstract in the crews interaction with the Squales. I found the other story line in this book with Counselors Trois’ pregnancy to be a bit forced, and felt they might have thrown it in to give this story an antagonist of some sort. But over all I think this has been a good solid book in the Titan series.
